Chris was a lifelong customer of J & W, but more than that he was a close personal friend. Chris has been building our MX track at the fair for the last 10-12 years. Chris was a valued member of Dirt Wurx and was responsible for supercross track construction in the United States and all over the world. Chris was best known for his optimistic personality and his constant goofy grin. “ Short,” as he was known to his friends, is sorely missed. I know that his wife and two kids were devastated and still are.
As a small gesture to help out his kids, I am having this fundraiser for Kate and Macen’s educational fund. It will take place at the Moto Museum in downtown St. Louis the night before the St. Louis SX. I am sending this out to motorcycle industry people asking for donations. There will be a silent auction and live auction. Ross Blankenship, Kory Christianson, and others are collecting jerseys and other gear during the season to be used in the silent auction.
