We’ve seen great riders come and go on the race track throughout our time covering dirt bikes, but the ones that have a true connection with the fans and were woven into the fabric of the sport are harder to replace behind the gate. Kevin Windham is certainly one of those riders. His legion of fans were always appreciative of K-Dub’s accomplishments and contributions to the sport, and even more so after his abrupt retirement in 2013. K-Dub is still giving back to the sport and his annual Ride Day/Party in the Pasture will have a special meaning with all the proceeds going to family of Chris Blankenship. Kevin and his family invite you down to his place on November 7 and 8 for some riding, BBQ, FMX, helicopter rides and great music with Craig Morgan. Check out www.r2rwebconnex.com/party in the pasture for registration and party details.
BTO Sports KTM’s Andrew Short is still thankfully in Texas preparing before having to punch the mandatory time-clock with the rest of the sport for the rigors and monotony of the Cali off-season testing soon. Andrew is one of our favorite riders on and off the radio and we look forward to catching up tonight!
Jimmy Decotis was down our way last weekend at the Hog Heaven MX race in North Carolina doing what he does best…..making a living riding a dirt bike. Some rumored extracurricular activities have the moto interweb-sphere in a semi-meltdown and we wanted to hear his account of the weekend in his own sweet Boston accent. Jimmy “Lt. Dan” Decotis is always a great guest and I’m sure he won’t let the listeners down tonight.
