ALTAMONT, TN - MidSouth Race Productions (Big Show Series) is proud to announce an alliance with KOTH and Hidden Valley MX to present the AMA 2nd Annual Luke Gibson MidSouth Championship September 19-21st of 2014! This Power Combination of Promotion groups will combine riders from all over the region at a national caliber venue, Hidden Valley MX, to create an epic event to celebrate the life & memory of Luke Gibson 2G.
The MidSouth Race Productions (Big Show Series) track crew is sure to create signature national caliber track conditions and challenging track obstacles for every age and ability of racer coming to Hidden Valley MX! The 2nd Annual Luke Gibson MidSouth Championship race will also be included in the Big Show Series as a championship points paying event adding a large rider base to the event maximizing turnout and competition in each class.
The event will be a Championship 3 Moto Format and is an AMA event that counts for Big Show Series Points. (AMA Membership is required to enter)
The 2nd Annual Luke Gibson MidSouth Championship Schedule:
- Friday is practice from 9:30-3:30
- Saturday sign up at 7 a.m., Riders meeting at 7:30 a.m., Practice at 8, a Luke Gibson Memorial Hot Lap at 9:30, with racing directly to follow. (two of three motos to be completed)
- Sunday Chapel at 7:15 a.m. Riders meeting at 7:30 with racing to begin at 8 a.m. (third and final moto of each class to be completed)

About KOTH: The KOTH series started out many years ago in West TN. Through the years it’s been a very respected and successful series that has focused on impacting riders’ abilities to excel in the sport of outdoor motocross, and to also promote sportsmanship.
This is the Second Annual Luke Gibson’s 2g KOTH Mid-South Championship tribute and remembrance race.
About Luke Gibson: Luke was born in Ohio in 1997. Luke’s first motorcycle ride was on a PW50 at 3 and half years old with training wheels. He started racing in 2007 in the KOTH Series in West TN. and won his 65cc beginner class that year. Luke loved the sport of motocross and made so many friends through the years and was known as the 2g kid. Luke’s other interests included skate boarding and collecting pocketknives. No matter what Luke was doing, he always had a smile on his face and loved life.
In March of 2010 in Mississippi Luke was preparing for a competition race and had a tragic accident. It was a very tough time for the sport and area with the loss of Luke.
Luke was always a very giving person, and was an organ donor. Anna a very special young lady received Luke’s heart. I’ve had the opportunity to know Anna, and is truly a wonderful person. She has attended one of Luke’s Memorial Races, and had the privilege to meet all of Luke’s family and friends.
Luke has given the greatest gift of all “THE GIFT OF LIFE”
About Hidden Valley MX: Since the turn of the century, Hidden Valley has been recognized as the premier Moto-cross facility in West TN. The track is 1.3 miles of natural rolling hills with prime loamy dirt, wide turns, deep ruts and the signature ski jump that sends the most skilled riders over 100 ft. Hidden Valley has hosted multiple AMA qualifiers and seen some of the finest riders in the country, such as Trey Canard, Zach Osbourne, and many more top contenders. Most recently Tim Ferry hosted training prior to Loretta's in 2013. Hidden Valley is honored to be the site of the Second annual KOTH Championship race.
