Barcia, Cianciarulo, Bell, Weigandt in Studio on DMXS Radio Tonight
Factory Honda’s Justin Barcia will be making his much anticipated move up to the 450 this year and is wearing out the Cali test track in preparation for the big debut. We will catch up with Bam Bam tonight and get his thoughts on that and the MXdN after a few weeks to digest the motocross cage-match in the sand.
Our sport has witnessed plenty of amateur phenoms coming up through the ranks, but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen a rider dominate his way to the top like Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo. Adam is also in Cali preparing for the Monster Energy Cup this weekend where many fans will watch him race a 250F for the first time in the Amateur All-Stars class. AC is a great kid on and off the bike and we always enjoy catching up with this bright young man.
GEICO Honda’s Zach Bell won the prestigious AMA Racing Motocross Horizon Award after sweeping all his 250A motos and wrapping up a stellar amateur career at Loretta’s this summer. His brief pro career was put on hold after a crash at Unadilla took him out of the remainder of the 2012 outdoor season. The young gun showed impressive speed and will be back soon enough to realize that untapped potential. We’ll get the latest on his recovery and thoughts looking forward to 2013.
Jason Weigandt drove all the way down from his home in North Carolina to join us in studio tonight for some guaranteed tomfoolery and hijinks from behind the mic. We’ll try not to cross the streams tonight if you get what I mean.
