Welcome to the 2016 Racer X Online Actually Fun Gift Guide. We're attempting to make mundane Christmas gift shopping into something cool—starting with the fact that motocross gifts are the best gifts of all. Try RacerXBrand.com to get your shopping list going this year, then check out some other cool products.
Here’s something about Racer X we never talk about but probably should: we’re an independent publishing company. We publish exactly one magazine title, we work on one website to support it. Pretty much any other mag you see down at the local Barnes & Noble rack is part of a much larger conglomerate, with rows and rows of ad and art people creating big, big buys and big designs. We’ve got a small staff, and every one of them has just one job. Our ad guys sell ads for Racer X. Our art people design the pages of Racer X. Our copy editor proofs only Racer X.
Oh, well, we do have this one teeny tiny side deal, via Racer X Brand. Yup, we’ve been making t-shirts and hats for so long that some people in the 1990s probably saw our shield logo on a shirt or hat before they saw it on a magazine.
We’re still pumping stuff out these days, big thanks to our one-man marketing department named Jordan Roberts. Check out some of the latest to support independence, coreness, street-level media or whatever you want to call it.
The Zip-Up Shield Hoodie is very popular in places like the supercross pits, when we’re trying to catch riders leaving the supercross pits and midnight, and it’s cold even in Southern California. It’s $60, available in Onyx, Vintage Grey, and Denim Navy.
The classic shield t-shirt has an updated look and six colors designed to match your favorite bike brand. They’re $25.
We’ve got three-quarter sleeve Raglan shirts available, too, with four styles and a price of $35 (each). Hats, too, with the Shield Flexfit and ’98 Trucker hat. They’re $25. Finally, our favorite shirt is the 90s Smokercross—which is nothing at all like a picture of Jeff Stanton as the Camel Supercross Champion. Don’t smoke, kids. That shirt is also $25. Buy yours here.
Now, back to work!
