Durham Still Injured, Oldenburg to Fill in at TLD KTM
Racer X has confirmed that Lucas Oil/Troy Lee Designs KTM has made a move for the upcoming Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Darryn Durham's troublesome wrist still hasn't healed well enough for him to log two thirty-minute motos, and Mitchell Oldenburg, who currently rides for the ARMA Energy/Motosport.com Yamaha team, will likely get Durham's spot for the summer.
We texted Durham this morning and he confirmed the wrist problems. At Anaheim 1, Durham crashed and rebent a screw that had already been surgically placed into the wrist from a previous injury. Durham is still working on a plan to stay with the team in some capacity.
Racer X's Steve Matthes reported last night that Oldenburg is heading to test with the team as soon as today. We are still waiting offical word from the team.
I can confirm @twmxdotcom first report of Durham out at TLD KTM & Oldenburg in. Mitchell flying in tonight to ride tomorrow...
