Valli Motosports Yamaha's Ivan Tedesco had a wicked crash in the Daytona main event when he cross-rutted and turned hard right directly into the path of Michael Byrne, who had nowhere to go and rammed Tedesco. The collision smashed Tedesco's right hand pretty good, and especially his right index finger, which is his front-brake finger. It was pretty ugly.
However, Tedesco's toughing it out, and has adapted. He will be racing tonight, and he was eighth-fastest in practice, really close to the leaders in times.
