Spy Optic Again Dominates Premier Monster Energy SX Class @ San Diego
Short (4th), Windham (5th) and Wey (9th) give Spy Optic more racers in the top ten of the premier AMA Supercross class than any other brand!
CARLSBAD, Calif., (Feb. 11, 2008) – Led by another 4th/5th finish from Andrew Short (Honda) and Kevin Windham (Torco/Honda), respectively, along with Nick Wey’s (MDK/KTM) solid 9th place finish, Spy Optic once again had more premier Supercross class racers running its goggles in the top ten than any other brand this past Saturday at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, Round Six of 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship.
Said Spy Optic spokesman Jeremy McGrath: “Our guys have been killin’ it! K-Dub, Shorty and Wey consistently put three Spy guys in the top ten overall – week in and week out. This gives Spy more guys in the top ten than any other goggle company, something we’re all very proud of.”
In addition to their excellent rides into the top ten overall, Spy Optic’s Windham, Short and Wey all scored podium finishes in their qualifiers. Windham won the second heat race, with Wey up on the box with him in 3rd and Short finished 2nd in the first qualifier.
Next up for the Spy Optic racers on the Monster Energy Supercross tour is the Houston/Reliant Stadium round this weekend (Feb. 16).
