Tomorrow night, October 22, Gelredome Stadium will play host to the Arnhem Supercross in the Netherlands. The stadium which is normally hosts soccer matches has been transformed into a supercross track that appears to be more technical than what we typically see out of overseas supercross events. Take a look at the track map below. (Note the on-off section that jumps back over the start straight.)
Notable riders participating in the event include 250SX East Region Champion, Malcom Stewart, former MXGP World Champion, Romain Febvre, and current MXGP World Champion, Tim Gajser. This will be Gajser’s first race back after re-injuring his shoulder at the SMX cup two-weeks ago and will be Stewart's first time back in Europe after placing 10th at the Bercy Supercross last year. Here’s a quick update from Malcom as he gets his first look at the track.
You might notice that Justin Bogle and Jason Anderson are listed on the pre-entry list, however, Anderson will not be competing due to the broken foot he sustained at the Motocross of Nations. Bogle will also sit the event out, as he is still looking for a ride for the upcoming 2017 supercross season. MX2 World Champion, Jeffrey Herlings, is expected to attend the event, but only as a spectator.
