Bolt Motorcycle Hardware Sponsors Charity Auction to Benefit Jessy Nelson
ATASCADERO, CA – Bolt Motorcycle Hardware announces a charity auction to benefit injured rider, Jessy Nelson. Nelson’s 2013 Troy Lee Designs gear will be offered through eBay. 100 percent of the auction proceeds will be donated to Road 2 Recovery on Nelson’s behalf.
At the close of the auction, Bolt Motorcycle Hardware will make a matching donation to Road 2 Recovery of up to $5000.00. Bidding for this auction opens on Friday September 2 at 7:30 p.m. PDT and will close on Monday September 12 at 7:30 p.m. PDT. On August 13 Nelson suffered a crash that damaged his spine during his second moto at Unadilla. Four days later he had back surgery. On August 28 Nelson posted on his Instagram: “I'm currently at a rehab center to start my road to recovery it's going to be long and tough but that's what I'm dealt with and going to give it my best shot to try and walk again one day.”
The winning bidder will receive Jessy Nelson’s 2013 SX Team Troy Lee Designs helmet, jersey, pants and goggles:

Over the years, Bolt Motorcycle has supported Nelson in both his amateur and professional career.
“In 2013, Nelson stopped by the Bolt offices and gave us this set of gear as a thank you,” VP David Nichols said, “When we heard about his crash and current rehabilitation, we thought auctioning that gear could help raise funds for his mounting medical bills.” Bolt has also pledged to match the winning bid with a donation to Road 2 Recovery of up to $5000.
