It’s crazy to think, but we’re a third of the way through the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. For the List this week, we’re looking back at the biggest moments with the help of ProMotocross.com, which puts together excellent highlights and clips from each race. Oh, and if you missed any rounds this year, you can watch EVERY moto for FREE here. But before we get to the best racing clips check this out.
Loving the Gloves | Pre Race Show
For two glorious rounds, NBC streamed the “Starting Gate,” a pre-race show for Lucas Oil Pro Motocross hosted by Jenna Corrado and Racer X’s own Steve Matthes (Glen Helen) and Jason Thomas (Hangtown). I have no idea how they allowed Matthes to be a part of this, but he was actually solid. JT was good, but that’s no surprise. Unfortunately money doesn’t grow on trees and a live streaming show like this costs money. It hasn’t returned since Glen Helen, but here’s hoping we get all twelve rounds next year. There are plenty of orange Fly Racing gloves to go around. Watch the first two shows below.
Now into the clips....
Hangtown
Canard Goes Down
Before Ken Roczen ripped off seven wins in eight motos, no one was sure what to expect from the 450 class. In the first moto of the year, it looked liked Trey Canard had the speed to hang with the 2014 champion. Then he crashed. Canard is now out with a back injury (due to a practice crash) and Roczen holds a 41-point lead.
Baggett Passes Tomac
Blake Baggett’s season was off to such a promising start. To the surprise of many, he caught and passed Eli Tomac for third late in the first moto of the season then….
Baggett Goes Down
…ugh, he crashed hard in the second moto, breaking his collarbone. He gave it a shot at Glen Helen, but had to pull out after the second moto. We hear he’ll be back for this weekend.
Hampshire Crash
Hampshire started the year strong with a fifth, but crashed hard in the second moto and had his arm stuck in the bike! Unfortunately, this was a prelude to his season—one good moto, one not so good.
Glen Helen
Ken Roczen Bike Issues at Glen Helen
Do we even have to explain this? Roczen should be a perfect 8 for 8 this season.
Canard vs Tomac
Just enjoy two bad dudes on a dirt bike battling it out!
Thunder Valley
Dungey Crash
Ugh! Dungey hasn’t missed a race in his entire 450 career outdoors until this point.
Roczen vs Seely vs Canard
This is just Roczen begin Roczen.
High Point
AC vs Savatgy vs A Mart
Just three bad dudes battling on dirt bikes!
Osborne Wins
Osborne has been waiting on this one for quite some time.
Tomac Goes Down
It was there. We were finally going to see a Tomac/Roczen battle. But Tomac lost the front end, Roczen built a 14-second lead, and the rest is history.
Seely Goes Down
Man, Seely has been impressive this year. He was actually catching Jason Anderson for third in the first moto before this.
AMart Bike Problems
This was just bizarre. No way it happens again, right? Surely not in the same race to the same team.
JMart Bike Problems
It did!
Star on Star Crime
Despite two bizarre engine problems this year at High Point, Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha is the deepest team in the 250 class. Through four rounds, the team holds down four of the top six spots in points and are responsible for fifteen moto podiums in the class. With so many riders up front, you get some great battles between teammates. Let’s watch a few.

Must See Moments
Don’t feel like watching the 100 videos above? You’re in luck. NBC put together the Must See Moments through three rounds of the championship. We just wasted a lot of time, didn’t we?
