MX2 points leader Jeffrey Herlings will miss the second moto today at the MXGP of Germany after sustaining a broken collarbone in the first moto. Herlings went down hard on the same jump that claimed Eli Tomac at the 2013 Motocross of Nations. He was unable to finish the first moto and did not line up for moto 2.

Herlings entered the weekend with a 139 point lead over Valentin Guillod. Tim Gajser won the first moto over Guillod and Jordi Tixier.
