From Red Bull
Wherever he goes and whatever he does, Travis Pastrana always manages to create some media buzz. In this case, he’s stirred up some media and actual audible buzz by not only choosing to race in Red Bull Straight Rhythm -- his first pro motocross race since 2009 -- but also opting to do it on a 500cc two-stroke. The Open Class for Straight Rhythm is just that: open. So, why not run with as much power as possible? With no turns, Pastrana’s strategy with his RM-Zilla could prove to be a threat this weekend, and in the video above, you can see that he still has plenty of Supercross bike skills.
Practice and qualifying gets underway on Friday, October 3. We’ll see how TP199’s ride will stack up against a field of 450cc four-strokes. Of course, the big day for Straight Rhythm will be Saturday, October 4 and all of the action can be caught in person or over the live stream at www.redbull.com/straightrhythm
