Riverside, CA – ODI is excited to announce the next step in our exciting brand history. With more than twenty-five years of producing grips for the top athletes of the world, ODI will once again be expanding our athlete roster with the addition of the RCH Racing Suzuki team. While ODI has been building an extensive product line which includes the expansion into handlebars, RCH Racing has been building a program which will allow them to contend for the 2015 Supercross Championship. The addition of the 2014 Outdoor Motocross Champion, Ken Roczen shows they are serious about contending for the Supercross and Motocross titles over the next few years.
“We are extremely excited that RCH chose ODI to partner with as they fight for their first Championship titles,” commented Brand Manager Kevin Stevens. “We recognized RCH as a strong team several years ago, but they were still in their development stages. Much like with us here at ODI the pieces of the puzzle were all coming together and with the addition of Ken, we know they will be a strong contender in the title fight.”
“We’re excited to start our partnership with ODI,” said team Co-Owner Ricky Carmichael. “We met through my good friend Jeff Emig and really connected to the way they are advancing technology in the controls category. It’s great to see a brand still doing manufacturing in the US and that’s something that we wanted to be a part of.”
Ken Roczen will use the Half Waffle MX Grips on the PODIUM handlebar which features ODI’s Patent Pending Controlled Flex Technology to offer a combination of the traditional look that comes from a cross bar with the flex that comes from running without. The team will also be instrumental in further product development with their riders Lance Coury and owners Carey Hart and Ricky Carmichael.
