Munn KTM Signs Robby Marshall
July 27, 2012, 1:20pm
MotoNewEngland.com is proud to announce that our local rider Robby Marshall will join the Munn Racing KTM Team to finish out the 2012 season. The signing comes just before Robby's home race in Southwick, MA where he has always been a contender and serious threat to the top riders in the championship series. His best finish came in 2009 with a 5th place overall at the Southwick national in which he battled for third place until the last lap of moto 1. Since then Robby has been a serious contender battling for top 5-10 spots each moto he has raced. With this new signing to the Munn Racing KTM team Robby might just have the extra support he needs to put him on the podium at Southwick, and get some great finishes at the next few nationals.
Seemingly happy about his new signing, Munn Racing Team owner Chip Munn kept it short and sweet just saying "Munn Racing likes to be involved with people that build relationships to
last". We'll have to wait and see what happens after these last four rounds, but it does seem as though there's a hint towards 2013 there doesn't it.
Robby Marshall told us this about his signing for the last four rounds. "I'm Really excited to have a deal worked out with Chip Munn and the Munn Racing KTM team. I want to thank Chip and all the Munn team sponsors for giving me this opportunity. I also have to thank Cory Duplease of Moto New England for his efforts in getting this deal done. With only 4 rounds left it's huge for Chip to step up for me and work a deal like we have out. I'm Looking forward to my hometown race; making some noise and having some fun in that sand box! I really can't thank everyone who supports me enough. My parents, Munn Racing KTM, Spectro-Oils, Crow Hill MSP, TSS graphics, Fox, Motofit, ICW, South of the border, Spazztic Race Co, WP,and MotoNewEngland.com".
Marshall also expressed his excitement to build a relationship with the team and its members in hopes of working together again after the 2012 outdoors.
Look for the Munn Racing KTM team rig at Southwick MX-338 August 11th for autographs from Robby and the rest of the Munn team, then again at the remaining national rounds.
