JOSH HANSEN (No. 100 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing
Kawasaki) Finished Seventh
“I had a good Main Event on the No. 100 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki. The day started off tough. I’ve been struggling all week with a staph infection. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since the Main Event last weekend. From the last race in Phoenix last Saturday, I haven’t ridden at all. I’ve just been going back and forth trying to get this infection flushed out. I came in a little rusty today. I qualified decent. I rode ninth in the Heat. I rode really well in the Main and moved through the pack and got up to seventh. I thought I was going to blow into the top-five, just came up a little short. We’re building positive steps every weekend. I’m stoked about this team. My team has been awesome. With all the Hart and Huntington Dodge guys, I couldn’t thank my team enough. I’m in a really comfortable environment. Everybody wants to do well and is really positive. I’m looking forward to getting back on the bike next week in Oakland.”
KYLE PARTRIDGE (No. 83 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki) Finished 16th
“A rough night for the No. 83 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing
Kawasaki team. I missed coming out of the Heat Race by one and had to go through the LCQ (last chance qualifier) to qualify for the Main.
“I got a good start in the LCQ. Won the LCQ. I felt really good in the LCQ. I went into the Main Event and got pushed off the track on the first start, into the wood and fell. The track was really slick. After the red flag, I was running 14th on the restart right behind (Nick) Wey and (Weston) Peick and landed on some tough blocks. I got back up, started going again and then just struggled with some breathing. I’ve been sick all week and could hardly breathe under the helmet. I finished 16th. Hopefully I come back a little stronger next week and get a better result in Oakland."
