Bob Hannah to Appear on “Café Racer”

Not even left foot braking on a British bike can stump the “Hurricane.” On Wednesday night at 9 p.m. Eastern, motocross and supercross legend, Bob Hannah will make a guest appearance on Discovery HD Theater’s Café Racer series.
Café Racer, now in its second season on HD Theater, is a documentary series that focuses on the culture and craft of café racer style motorcycles. CRTV chronicles the restoration and reemergence of these bikes through custom builders and enthusiasts. For the show, Hannah tested a 1967 BSA A-65 Lightning that was restored by Nampa, Idaho’s Union Motorcycle Classics. Known for his off road domination in the late 1970s, Hannah is also skilled on the street.
“I’ve been riding on the road since I had a driver’s license,” Hannah said. “I got around on a street bike when I was in high school and when I rode with Yamaha I always got around on street bikes. I rode all the way through [my career] until today.”
Season two runs every Wednesday through November 9. Season three is slated for April 2012 and season one of Café Racer will soon be available for purchase on www.caferacertv.com.
