Supercross Spotlight Shines On Tyler Bright
April 5, 2011, 3:10pm
Lake Forest, CA — After returning to his winning ways at the Arenacross series during a break in the East Coast Lites series, the spotlight is back on Tyler Bright. Not only did he make the Supercross main event in Dallas, he finished in the top 10 for the first time this season! After a couple of bad breaks and last minute LCQ misses this season including earning the Asterisk Medic Card in both Atlanta and the Toronto round last week, Bright was happy to be in the mix deep in the heart of Texas this weekend.
Riding the Jimmy Weinert MX Training Facility, the former 2008 Arenacross Lites champ now looks to be back on track. Not only did he qualify for the main straight out of his heat race, Bright ran as high as eighth in Cowboy Stadium. “It was great to see Tyler’s hard work rewarded and to see the all new Scorpion VX-34 in the main event,” says Scorpion’s marketing/advertising specialist, Suzie Kirby. “We knew it was just a matter of time before Tyler would make the main, which is why we gave him one of the very first VX-34 prototypes to race with. First he wins an Arenacross race and next he finishes top 10 in a Supercross race… coincidence? I think not!”
Coincidence or not, Bright has the talent to become a leading light in Supercross, which is why Jimmy Weinert signed him to his team and why Scorpion trusts him to help with the final development of the VX-34 helmet. The polycarbonate shell differs from the current VX-24, but shares Scorpion’s trademarked AIRFIT® technology, enabling riders to pump up the proprietary cheek pad inflation system for a perfect fit every ride.
“Now that he has cracked the top 10, we are looking for Bright to be on the SX podium in the near future,” says Suzie. In the meantime, track Tyler Bright and the rest of the Jimmy Weinert Racing Team at:
