MotoUSA.com Holeshot Awards
Medford, OR (May 25, 2010) - MotorcycleUSA.com handed out the first of many $250 Holeshot Awards at the opening round of the Women’s Motocross Championship. Moto 1 holeshot winner was Ashley Fiolek who beat the group to the corner by several bike lengths. Ashley led for the opening laps when she made a mistake losing her lead to Jessica Patterson who went on to take the checkers. Patterson went on to win Moto 2 as well, including the holeshot, for a clean start-to-finish performance. An opening-round sweep and overall victory gives Patterson the points lead with seven rounds remaining.
"My DNA Shred Stix Yamaha was strong off the start," said Patterson. "It feels great to be on the podium and I can’t thank my team enough."
The MotorcycleUSA.com Women’s Motocross Series will return in two weeks
