Villopoto / Renner / Hahn / Ping / Concept2 Rowers on DMXS Radio Tonight!
With only five more rounds in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship to go, Factory Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto lurks just 21 points behind Dungey going into the Easter break. Jacksonville looked to be a defining moment in the series as Poto injured his flipper in practice and was a big question mark going into the night show. The resilient redhead not only soldiered on, but won in convincing fashion and gained valuable points in the process. RV will check in with us tonight for an update as we will all be enjoying Mandingo Pickles during the interview.
Red Bull’s Ronnie Renner is one of the sport’s most unique and long-lasting characters. RR always makes for a fun interview and he just returned from Poland last week so expect a few, “screen door on a submarine” jokes to fly. He is also hosting some cool Red Bull Free Ride group tours which you can find out about at www.RonnieRenner.com. The multiple X-Games gold medal winner never disappoints and we look forward to catching up with our friend, and transplanted Cali redneck.
Rockstar Energy Suzuki’s Tommy Hahn was a fan favorite and a nice surprise last year in the outdoors as the underdog battled the factory riders all summer long for an impressive 5th overall. He’s had some ups and downs this year in SX and we will get his thoughts on the season so far and the changes to the outdoor schedule for 2010.
Troy Lee Design’s team manager David Pingree was on hand at Dallas and it will be interesting to hear his opinions of the Lites battles on the right coast as the West series remains dormant until later this month at Seattle. Ping never holds back, and there’s plenty to cover, so put the kids to bed early and pop some popcorn for this one.
Concept2 Rowers’ Greg Hammond just returned from a Baja trip which always provides for some good stories that he will share tonight. If you have never seen their rowers, go to www.concept2.com and check out these works of art that will give you an ass-kicking, heart pounding workout on a state of the art piece of equipment. Most of the top riders in our sport have found the benefits of Concept2 rowers and they make a great addition to any and all moto workouts.
DMXS Radio’s studio will be dark next week as we enjoy Spring break with our families, but will return after Houston for a really bitchin’ show that will probably disappoint a lot of people. Thanks for putting up with us for 10 years, folks.
