Injured Michigan Rider Casey Wood Asking for Your Support
November 30, 2009, 5:58pm
After twenty years of racing and no major injures, the event Casey Wood and his family had been successfully avoiding unfortunately occurred Saturday November 14, 2009. While Casey was out for his second practice, he crashed and his Suzuki 450 landed on top of his back. He is not paralyzed but he will be in recovery for a long time. Casey broke his back and four vertebraes, 3 ribs on his right side, punctured his right lung, and broke his sternum which had some internal bleeding behind it.
With these injuries Casey is not able to work at this time, and he isn`t sure if he has enough insurance to cover all his time spent in the hospital including his tests and surgery. Please help Casey and his family as they are expecting their second child in June, and these unfortunate events will cause financial difficulties.
