October 24, 2008, 1:33pm
Redwood City, CA - MDK Motorsports LLC is proud to announce Jagermeister as the new title sponsor for the 450 Supercross/Motocross race team. Jagermeister is one of the largest and most recognizable brand names in the global spirits industry selling over 3 million cases annually in the United States alone. The team will be called Jagermeister/MDK/KTM 450 Race Team for the 2009 Supercross/Motocross season.
The Jagermeister / MDK / KTM racing team will have Travis Preston and Josh Summey, two new riders to MDK, lead the charge on the MDK Speed / KTM 450 SX-F in the 2009 Supercross/Motocross season. "Jagermeister has been looking at moto for many years and we've finally found the ideal partnership with MDK / KTM. We look forward to many successful seasons with the team. CHEERS!" said Rick Zeiler of Jagermeister.
"This is a great opportunity for our team. Having excellent, hard-charging riders and a great brand name involved with Supercross/Motocross will also help grow our sport and the MDK brand, especially one with expertise in activation off the track," said MDK owner Mark Kvamme.
"Rick and I have been friends and talking about Jager getting involved in the sport for 8 years. The timing was finally right, and we found the perfect race team that can vertically integrate the Jagermeister brand throughout its business. This is going to be a great year for our sport. Wait until you see what we have in store for 2009 on and off the track," said Jamey "the people's champ" Grosser, whose company cities2night.com brokered the deal between Jagermeister and MDK.
Make sure you plan time in your day at Anaheim 1 to catch all the Kaos in Jagermeister / MDK / KTM pits!
