Sara Price Wins at Dodge National
Canyon Lake, Calif., Oct 9, 2008 – Monster Kawasaki Team Green’s Sara Price, arguably the busiest woman in amateur racing, racked up another big amateur win at the Dodge Amateur Motocross National held at AMP MX Track, Prarie City SVRA, Sacramento, CA, Sept. 28 – Oct. 5, 2008.
16-year-old Price headed up to Northern California last weekend for the Dodge National where many top amateur racers like Jason Anderson, Jesse Nelson, and Blake Baggett, as well as National Pro’s such Ben Lemay were racing. She went 1-1-1 in the Women’s Open class that had a healthy turnout of fast females including Fox Racing’s Kasie Creson of Oakley, CA who battled with Sara in all three motos.
Additionally, Sara had the opportunity to race the industry class where she doubled up on her KX250F with Kawasaki’s Andy Smith.
“The race was a lot of fun, the track was awesome, it was running the opposite way than when I was there in May” said Price “The women’s turn out was really good. It is great to see the women’s classes filling up at all the amateur races”.
Sara will finish of the 2008 race season at the Winter Mini Olympics in Gainesville, Florida this coming November and will defend her title in the Supercross discipline of the event. She also hopes to win the Golden Boot award again.
Sara is sponsored by: Kawasaki Team Green, Monster Energy, Thor MX, Chapparal Motorsports, Pro Circuit, Maxima, Pro Taper, Dunlop, DVS, Auto Styles and Paint, Panic Rev, AC Racing, and Moto Playground magazine.
