David Knight to Race the 2006 Maxxis EnduroCross
David Knight, the 2005 Maxxis EnduroCross Champion has committed to
return and defend his title for the 2006 event. Knight had an
incredible 2005 season winning almost every event he entered capping
off the year with a victory at the Maxxis EnduroCross.
"The EnduroCross in America has become one of my favorite events,"
explained Knight. "I look forward to returning to Las Vegas and go for
the title one more time. It's a very tough race but also very fun to
compete in."
In 2004, Knight finished second overall behind Ryan Hughes but last
year he was determined to take the title. Knight battled with Hughes
and Ricky Dietrich to take over the lead halfway through the final race
and the eventual win. "David is without question one of the top
off-road racers in the world," claims Eric Peronnard, promoter of the
Maxxis EnduroCross. "We are very happy that he chose to return and
defend his title. As in the past two years, we expect great race action
from the entire field of riders."
