As a major Baggett fan I have to wonder why he rolled over giving up second place on that hard to pass on track off the start. Do you think he loves to make his patented come backs? Is he tight as a banjo off the start? It is a cool day and hard to pass on track, no one will get tired. Get it together big Blake get it together!
Both second motos should be very interesting.
I think Blake has his bike a tooth smaller on the back sprocket for better top end, this hurts him a bit on the starts, and possibly on the hills like Washougal has.
But i'm just guessing!
Baggett seems to be 4 sec a lap faster on the "hold it wide open everywhere" style tracks. There is places to do that here, but not many. Technical tracks equalize the riders a little.
I love all the races, but Washougal is pretty to look at and frustrating to watch for me.
Hey 198, Haha Looks like BB can put 4 seconds a lap any place, any track, how about the 9 seconds he put on JB in lap 16 and the 8 he put on Eli that lap. Those little Honda boys really pissed him off.
What lap did Blake get by Barcia on?
I am guessing Barcia crashed? They were running lap times that were very close the whole second moto, then poof BB Gun has the lead and a huge gap.
Glad to see Barcia get the overall

Barcia just got run down and passed.
Barcia would seem to be the best bet against Baggett for the title. With the next three rounds are in the East, location could be a factor. So, the 250 series is not yet over ....
I think Southwick and Steel City favor Baggett especially if it is white hot because the rougher the track and weather the better he likes it. This dude turned in two
blazing laps on 15 and 16 today both in 210's for a total of five 210's. Barcia had one 210 and the other riders none. Barcia is the only one with a chance at the
title but it will have to come from luck as BB has him covered on speed. I
think it was amazing he turned a 210 on the last lap when he did not need it, he
was just riding loose and feeling it while putting 21 seconds on JB in 3 laps.
What happened to Cole Thompson? Saw he was in the first turn pileup in the first moto, did star Valli not have a 2nd motor for him for the 2nd moto?
@Osteo, thanks for stating the obvious, I thought maybe Doug Henry or Jeremy McGrath had the best shot at beating BB...no shit Barcia has the best chance...
Man I was hoping for a better debut from Thompson.
Maybe they shoulda put him on a 450 instead. Or do they not have a 450 "program"?
@Osteo
Agreed. Since JB is from the East Coast, he should do well in those rounds. But JB could lose the pornstache!
What?!?! Did read this right? Jesse Nelson #136 on a TLD Honda CR125R goes 13-13 for 12th overall! Got to be a typo, twiced! I don't remember seing or hearing anything about it during the live feed of the first moto.
@Osteo
Also thinking that Barcia is the best rick for the East Coast rounds.
@ Fender Freddy
Pornstache! Ha!
its honestly bb12's championship to loose, he is faster than everyone right now, his mess up's are the only reason barcia is so close. id still love to see musquin get a podium though. but bb can either stay up right and win this, or he is gonna throw away his point lead at southwick and itll be a straight battle from their.
The 2nd moto on TV was good to watch. The Musquin/Tomac battle was sick, and you really saw Marvin's skills. Wharton/Stewart battle was good and BB12 is a beast when he stays on the track. The camera by the floater on HP hill was awesome.
Told you guys a few weeks ago that Baggett would start burning out.
motodog1977: I don't get you man. Your constant attack of (anything) European is just embarrassing to read. Have you been locked up (or chained) in a cage and beat 3 times a day with someone wearing a Nazi uniform, before they throw you a bone to gnaw on. This is what comes to mind when I hear you constant (hate) for Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin.
You have the disrespect and absolute ignorance to degrade them because they just so happened to compete and win the FIM World Motocross Championship (established 1957). They both have earned the right to be referred to as World Champions because of no other reason than for the World Championship series they competed in. Either one, or both Roczen and Musquin have repeatedly mentioned the quality of rider in the US competing in the Nationals is on another level from the GP riders.
You, by your slanderous statements to anything European are an insult to the honored history of the sport of Motocross, and frankly to these community boards, and those who would like to discuss the sport of Motocross and not bring bigotry and un-warranted prejudice into the discussion.
I have said it before, and I will say it again, you may show doubt in your less than humane character by your continually self demeaning comments, but you leave no doubt to the rest of us, that you are indeed a DOG! Whoof!!!
PS I actually think you have earned the right to be referred to as another four legged animal that, "wallows in the mire" you type, but they are above you, Sir...
Motodog 1977
Never generalize, cause you forgot about some other europeans that have gotten plenty of podiums, Wilson and Rattray. And Rattray is a FIM world champ too. If they hadn't been injured and bumped up the 250 class may have looked different this year. There was a time when the Euros spanked us pretty bad in the US and in the FIM. So I'm pretty proud of our boys too. I'd like to see some of our guys compete in the FIM championship if only to prove that US riders can win here and in europe. I know we always dominate the MX des Nations, but a world championship would be cool.
Don't count out Musquin or Roczen. They are gradually improving as Marvin showed at Washougal and may be taking wins pretty soon.
