@fatdj I am not doing any manpiles for sure. What is up with Charlie Mullins? Is he hurt???
Mr Mx I think that would be a good idea for the for see able future..lol My friends say nothing there yet. They got 13" of rain about a month ago, did over 20 mil damage to Pensacola, now this...on the plus side surf is supposed to be up 8'-10' waves ..so all the rained out moto guys in the area can go surfing!!
@MrMax.Thats funny stuff.I think that I might be opposite of you. That would make me the most un-interesting man in the world.I to have been to McGuires a few times. We had a condo on Santa Rosa Island.@ BD25 If I had known you were from that area we could of hung out some.I would of liked to of met the Steve Campbell guy that seems to have some pretty trick vintage bikes.
Mr Mx So very true sir!! Your armed with an unparalleled knowledge of motocross. From an insiders vantage point, your able to share with us the history of motocross, showing us a side of the sport, that we have been able to read about. You are bringing the truth to the average poster, who being mere mortal does not have the insight or experience that make you the most interesting man to every post on this site... lol Sorry could not resist my self....
fred Not from that area, have a flight inst. friend who transferred down there.. I helped them move ...I think I made 5 trips all together, moving there personal items, motorcycles and their pets..got to spend a week there each time on their dime...Then my banker found out I had been there, he wished he known, as he had a Chevy pick up in Destin he wanted re-poed. I told him I would do it so, he hired me, flew me down to repo the truck and drive it home..all on his dime..It is so beautiful there it makes the 1000 mile drive worth it
@ motodog1977
You are a retard with an IQ of about 50. Why do you bash Pro racer from other countrys? Kenny's a real loser, really? won mx2 races at 15 years old, won mx2 championship at 16 years old, won the east west shoot out last year, won the overall at the mxdes last year, finised in the top ten in the 450 sx on a 350, 2nd overall in the 250sx with a broken wrist, led more laps than any one this year in the 250 outdoors, yes, he has not won yet, but Tomac 2 wins in three years, Bagget 3 wins in three years, Barcia, two wins in three years. So whats your point? Kennys the only one in motocross history to complain about lappers..Really.
Mr Mx Yes, it was just an attempt at humor on my part...some times I fall short of the intended out come..Shame we lost another member of Hogans Hero's recently with the passing of Newkirk , Richard Dawson. It was such an entertaining show...as were a lot of them from that era. Always had the moral of good over coming evil..no matter how silly.
retired-promxer, I agree about Roczen but Bagget has 7 national wins.
Mr-MX, what's going on.Went to the pro hillclimb on sat. night.Have you checked out those bikes lately, the have gotten very meticulous building their machines in the last few years. And those guys are creative.
Mr Mx Here to we seem to have a work force with out green cards. In a small town west of me, one gentleman is buying up all the small run down houses, then renting them out to multiple families per dwelling. The locals are not happy and the town cop will stop a van or car full of illegals at least twice a month. They get sent back only to return with in a month...it is a cycle that costs tax payers a lot of money....I guess it is a statement of how bad the economy is every where..Dang wish there were some racing to talk about ... Hughes and Dubach cleaned up at at the Mountain as did Wardy, but looks like Jeff skipped his last moto lowering his overall ...bet that is a fun event to attend....hoping to make Spring Creek if a few things fall into place, I really like it up there..Hope you have a good day sir..moto on
Mr Mx Is that the track Davey C has been trying to get on the series? It does seem a shame that the south east does not have a national.
If it were up to me, I would shorten the Supercross season to 14 races and increase the outdoors to 14 races. Supercross would be over the last week in April and the outdoors could start mid May. I know the money train would not want this happen, but it would give the riders an extra break during Supercross while adding 2 more venues outdoors. The present outdoor venues would not have to worry about losing a race, since they have already invested so much money to meet the criteria set forth by MX Sports. It would not be that hard to drop Dodger stadium Salt Lake and the least attended east coast round. The supercoss series could even go on a rotation of stadiums, as there are plenty to chose from, that way Detroit and other cities could vie for them each year... but what do I know, just a poor ole county boy..
I would love to see a Trans Am series again. But someone pointed out to me that we already have the GPs best here now execpt CP377 and AC222.
Yes, it was very different, the sport has came along way from the days of the box van to now!! The good stuff is the separation of the seasons, the starting one before the other is over was a bad idea. It was really tough on everyone to drop supercross, go do a national, only to jump back into supercross. The schedule had to make everyone crazy as well as all the driving involved.
I do think they could add a November series of 4 races for the Euros to come over and race against our guys. Travel and motel expenses could be kept to a minimum by using just Cali tracks like Glen Helen, Pala, Milestone and Elsinore. It would be great exposure for the Euros and answer who was faster, at least on our tracks...
Mr Mx It would have more of an European feel with the cold mornings, and the tracks would be more to their liking. The warm Cali sun and surf might entice the Euros into thinking they were on vacation adding incentive to come over...we should see if we can make it happen....
Mr Mx So true sir, the list you give is the who's who of Europe's moto royalty from a day that no longer exits. Those were men! I will never forget the picture of Heikki Mikkola wearing his open face helmet, with mud and snot frozen on his face. The stories of Joel Robert swilling out of a whiskey bottle and puffing a cigar right before going to the line, to race on a track, surrounded by fans who were not opposed to throwing things at riders as they passed by, to allow their favorite rider to win. Those days are only in the memories of true fans who have either witnessed the moto wars or followed the reports sent back to the states by telegraph and land lines. We are of the fortunate ones...
Mr Mx ... We might have to call it The Red Bull Roundup Cup !! Have that American/Europeon sound to it!! That way the young Ero's that are sponsored by Red Bull would have to come over..lol
Barber is a spectacular venue, I have been to several track days there.I have not been there since last year and heard they were building a MX track but I did not see one then. And you have to check out the museum.
For me it's 75 to 71 to 65 south about 8 hours to Barber And 10 (600 Miles) to Monster Mountain,it's acouple hours father south.I usually go to Monster in the winter.I really like Mid Ohio too, never been to Road America but want to go check it out sometime. You can spend all day in that museum,it's a must see.The first couple of times I went I did not have time to see it but finally left a day early and was glad I did.
It was also cool to see they had several bikes that I have.
