I am liking this season better than the last couple. All the players are really elevating their games. And how composed is Trey for a such a young man? Very impressive.
Really enjoying these Press Day videos & being able to view full screen! Thank you for posting!
I'm liking the calm riding styles of all the top dogs, they're riding safe! Always good to see
So far, all the major players are not injured.. Which is good... They seem more aware that the season is quite long.. Great season.. With many potential winners... Hope Canard will be able to go faster and faster.. Dungey will have to step here... For now.. JS7 and RV2 are a class apart.
Seems like the rambling that Dungey was doing was trying to justify why he isn't up there. It's not the bike, it's not the set up, it's not even the riding. It's just harder to win when your not spoon fed a championship. With all this talent. Let's see who rises a Champion.
Add Reed to the list of people that say RV and JS are at another level. How come when I say that people don't agree?? Come on RD step it up, round 3 or 4 you better get a win or it could get ugly.
Is there anything more ridiculous than a pro rider attempting to speak? It's obvious that most of these guys never completed high school. Dungey is a train wreck with a microphone. Sounds crazy, but top pros in other sports take classes to improve their speech and grammer.
It is obvious Racer X is the leader of race coverage, Transworld can't keep up. And I think SX racers speak alot better than NBA, NFL and MLB players.
Public speaking is very difficult, as I am a college grad, and a DJ - believe me, it is not easy speaking publicly, as most of these guys have their own language. It is called Ebonics ! Overall the riders did fantastic describing the sport, and RacerX is doing an excellent job with the interviews !
@brandon: i'm pretty sure i heard him say that there aren't any excuses. These guys are paid to ride and win races not give speeches. Furthermore, i'm pretty sure Dungey had to work for his championship. Don't forget he won SX, outdoors, and then swept the MXoN. And he got 2nd at A1 ahead of JS7. So stop with the spoon fed champion S***. Dungey has proven himself and expect him to comeback. At least he didnt take the summer of to do reality TV.
Dungey gives the same speach every time, its like listening to a broken record.
Rainman , bag on these guys eductation and you can't spell grammar ? JimM Carlsbad Ca
Im an RV guy but to hear people bag on RD 2 races into the season is typical. Baring some type of crash related misfortune (which is possible) RD will get 4th or 5th in SX and unfortunately be judged on that result. F*** SX anyway. SX, to me is a jump filled bowl turned sprint, with a poor start and tight tracks your pretty much done. The true test in our sport is TGO. JimM CarlsbadCa
@4 - Indeed....Our top moto guys dont do nearly as much press and time in front of a mic like the top NBA or NFL folks. I would say most the moto guys do well on the mic......right, most the top Moto guys did not attend college, but how about some of these NFL or NBA guys who get scholarships and drafted to the pros and still speak like the live on the streets.....pathetic!!
Did Dungey make it through press day without crashing?.... When Dungey is pushed he crashes it seems....he wasnt pushed much last year, indoors or out....When RV2 finally got his ass in gear in SX...Dungey sat on his points lead and cruised to second every race...this year all the chips are on the table and luckily just about all the players are healthy,,, for now atleast and yes, its 2 races in....but some guys appear to be 2 steps ahead, just like CR22 says..he knows the deal...but I think Reed only expects to get a 3rd at best at this point if everyting shakes out fairly (no crazy first turn pile ups or lapper issues taking guys out of the race).... I like Dungey dont get me wrong, but tomorrow I think is a crucial race for the defending champ.....if RV2, JS7 and CR22 take the podium or TC41 sneaks in there.....then i think it safe to say where RD stands.
There are only two things that are known at this point, RV and Stewie are the two fastest on the track. As RC always said though, the series starts at Daytona. As if the tracks don't change at the east coast rounds? You will see different results as riders like one surface better or one track better. Phoenix was like racing on a one lined skating rink as even Stewart said you could not push at all. You won't see Reed ahead of Dungey much more this year. Now Canard is a different story.
Ryan Dungey says the same shit week after week his rambling is so boring!!!! He got a gift last year when everyone was hurt an now he looks dumb cus he cant back it up. He's so boring to watch on a dirtbike lol thats why they dont give him much screen time even being the champ lol JS7,CR22,RV2 been hurt an out an they get way more tv coverage
Hmm.. suddenly RD5 is not sounding so confident.. I suppose thats for good reason
hey kelly shires...what the heck does ebonics have to do with any of the interviews in the video or motocross/supercross in general? what are you talking about?
You guys bagging on RD are a joke. He got 2nd at A1 and screwed up at Phoenix to be stuck with Reed and Brayton on a poor track. He's 3rd in the points and has a better chance moving up than down. Surely he's not happy with his Phoenix result but I would bet 4 of the top 5 wouldn't be happy with anything less than a podium. Let me know how the crow tastes in a couple of weeks.
Jimbo, you're right. I couldn't spell cat without the "C" and the "T" spotted for me. But I am sure that I could figure out that a race series that had 17 stops went more than 15 weeks. I mean, if you have followed this sport for any time at all you would know that these guys shouldn't be talking into a mic or giving podium speeches.
i'm back from South America... my favorites for this year Villopoto and Dungey....
