GO Josh Clark #91 !!!
CRAIG #144 lites class!
What I still don't get is how guys like Justin Brayton , Kyle Chisholm and dean wilson got to pick career #'s?? I thought you had to win a championship to pick a career #???
I don't understand why the current numbering system is confusing. What professional sport has a numbering system that represents the ranks of the participants? If anything the current system makes it easier for a more casual spectator to go to a race with a bunch of friends and know the racers names. When the numbers changed every year you would always have to relearn everybody's numbers. I wouldn't think that somebody that's never seen a race would think that a racers number was how they finished in the championship since other professional sports don't use the numbering to show the rank. And what about the year Doug Henry won the championship the year before and the next year while running the #1 was far from the fastest rider out there? Its pretty easy to see who the fastest rider of the day is,they are the one in the lead!
Wow the AMA is so Sideways when it comes to numbering. How did Deano get #15 and Trey C get #41 ??? No doubt trey will be up front sometime soon. Granted Dean will probably win which ever coast he rides on cuz he's bout the best there is. I'm just saying Trey's gotta be a little heated over that one, especially because his trainer is Tim Ferry Longtime #15. AMA brilliance
pinned927 - The AMA didn't assign those numbers to Wilson and Canard. They chose them as their career numbers.
pinned, Trey chose that number it used to be his dad's i believe.
Does anyone know the answer to BIllC's question because I have the same question. I thought you had to be an AMA champion to have a career number??? Anyone know??? Also, I thought that I remember when they first came out with this system it was stated that only 1 -10 would be available for a career number. I might be wrong about that one though.
