The Buckley Berm
by Davey CoombS
The Wick MX338’s Buckley Berm might just be the most photographed corner in all of motocross. A narrow uphill lefthander around a massive tree, followed by an immediate descent, it’s not particularly spectacular or difficult. It’s much slower than Glen Helen’s fast and massive first turn, and it’s not nearly as steep as Unadilla’s notorious Screw-U. What it has is deep sand, which makes for spectacular roosts and epic photos. Since 1976, it’s been the muse and namesake of New England’s most prolific and respected photographer, Paul Buckley.
