Think I told you this last year, but I’ll say it again: absolutely love the Racer X Infield Access videos! The ground-level perspective, roaring engines, brake squeals, and even the spectator or mechanic who steps in front of the action makes me feel like I’m there. Keep ’em coming!
Nate Rauba // Foothill Ranch, CA
Thanks, Nate, the credit goes to Tom Journet of Team Fried fame, who is helping us out this summer—and I agree, he’s doing a great job! DC
think it would be cool to get an interview with James Stewart about the development of the scrub. What did you do the first time he did “whatever” that made him think it would be a usable tool? Was it planned or accidental? What was that “whatever?” Did he crash the first time? How often did he crash practicing the technique? How long from the time he learned it until he used it in a race? What kind of jumps did he practice it on to perfect it?
Stan Bruzgulis // Racer X Online
Great idea, Stan! The 20th anniversary of the moment that he unveiled the scrub happens at the upcoming Budds Creek National in August, and James will be there to discuss it on MAVTV as he co-hosts the race with our own Jason Weigandt. DC
We are deeply rooted in Moto—We’ve been here all our lives. Back in 1998 when we turned an underground newspaper into a shiny color magazine, it immediately changed the game with its unprecedented depth of coverage, sense of humor, and access to the sport’s biggest names. Today, our readers know they can go to Racer X Online for all the news, race results, and event coverage they need, and then enjoy even more detail and perspective in the pages of Racer X Illustrated. The mag offers a chance to learn something new on every page and stay connected with the people and personalities that shape our sport—the competitors out on the racetrack, as well as the ones behind the scenes—through our exclusive deep-dive stories and columns.
Our trademark has always been insider knowledge from the experts who are at the races and around the sport. We have long prided ourselves on our unparalleled race reporting and detailed storytelling. We go deep with the riders and teams to provide comprehensive coverage you won’t find anywhere else—all with first-class photography and design. It’s a full education in motocross past, present, and future.
