1993 YZs With Yamaha celebrating 50 years of their YZ line of motocross bikes this summer, the brand decided to pick one of their favorite designs from yesteryear and have their factory-backed riders all over the world run it. Despite having plenty of cool yellow (’70s) and blue (since ’95) scenes to choose from, they went with the white and purple look from 1993 and the Damon Bradshaw/Jeff Emig era. Haiden Deegan said “Happy Birthday” by running the kit to the Washougal overall win, leading a YZ-white 1-2-3 in the second moto ahead of Justin Cooper and Levi Kitchen (and over in Belgium, Jago Geerts went 1-1 the next day on his similarly kitted YZ250F).
PRO CIRCUIT KAWI The hits just keep on coming for what’s been the worst year in the history of this legendary team, as both Austin Forkner and Ryder DiFrancesco crashed early in the Washougal National, this after Jett Reynolds scratched due to injury. The good news is that 2023 is almost over, and all of their riders will have the new SuperMotocross World Championship playoff to maybe salvage this dreadful season.
