GAJSER Tim Gajser clinched his fourth MXGP world title since 2016—two more during that same period of time than the “fastest man on the planet,” Dutch KTM rider Jeffrey Herlings. Gajser has long flown a much less risky route than Herlings, who spent seemingly half of this same period out with injuries.

WSX The new FIM World Supercross Championship is still trying to gain traction in the marketplace, securing a couple big names like Ken Roczen (though not sure on which team), Eli Tomac (for only one round), and Chad Reed (back out of retirement). There is also a brewing battle between the FIM and AMA and Feld Motorsports (“World Supercross” promoter for the last 20 years) over how world and supercross can even be used. Stay tuned.
BARCIA At Budds Creek, while battling for eighth place with the just-back-from-injury Dylan Ferrandis, Barcia was passed in a switchback section, then ran off the track to the inside access lane, cut the next corner, and slammed into Ferrandis, knocking him out of the race and putting him back on the sidelines. Barcia was DQ’d from the race but later argued that GoPro video from his front number plate mount exonerated him. It did not.
