THE GOOD DOCTORS

For 20 years now, the Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit and its staff of doctors and healthcare workers have been there for the racers, helping provide urgent care when needed in AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross for both elite factory riders and rank-and-file privateers alike. First funded by Asterisk founders Jim and Dave Castillo, and supported throughout its existence by various racing entities and individuals, the unit has served countless individuals in the paddock. Under the guidance of chief of staff Tom Carson and medical director John “Doc” Bodnar—both longtime racers and motorcycling enthusiasts—the rig has provided on-site complimentary medical service with their state-of-the-art hospital unit, which is staffed with qualified and experienced medical personnel from all over the country.
