
The 378-Day Wait
More than a year ago, last February in Tampa, Pierce Brown was headed to what would have been his first career win in Monster Energy AMA Supercross. With victory in sight, the Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider threw it away in the whoops, crashing himself out of practically the entire season with a back injury. When the 250SX East opened this time at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Brown once again found himself in the lead in the late going, only this time he held on, earning that long-overdue win, 378 days later.
