I yelled it constantly on Saturday night, now employed as [checks notes] Hype Man for the night in Monster Energy Supercross. Steven “Lurch” Scott is the GOAT of stadium pump-ups, but Oakland’s race was rescheduled, and Lurch wasn’t available for the rain date. Feld Motor Sports’ Doug Cabrera asked me to fill in. He knows me as an announcer, not as a hype man. Broadcasters like Al Michaels might ask “Do you believe in miracles?” but they do not command a crowd to “G-g-g-et it on!” or “Make some noise for the boys!”
