On January 11, 2011, Eli Tomac and Ken Roczen lined up together for the first time in AMA Supercross. Roczen, then on a Red Bull KTM, bettered the GEICO Honda–mounted Tomac by three spots, finishing seventh to Eli’s tenth in what was then called the Lites West Region. They’re still battling it out all these years later, though now the 30-year-old Tomac (1) rides for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, while Roczen, 28, is trying to revitalize Suzuki’s AMA Supercross fortunes. Both are now married with children; both are still fighting for championships.
