One of my first assignments when I started here at Racer X was to interview AMA Arenacross Champion Buddy Antunez for the AMA Arenacross Souvenir Yearbook. When I was a kid, I owned a Suzuki quad, so I grew up as a fan of the brand. Unfortunately, those were lean times for Suzuki, but Antunez represented hope, because he hauled on Suzuki RM80s. By 1990, he turned pro with immediate success, leading the 125 West Region supercross standings as a rookie. This was going to work out!
