SUZUKI And just like that, Suzuki is right back in title contention. Ken Roczen’s unique season of free agency came to an end on December 7 with the announcement that he would be riding under a new Progressive Insurance/Ecstar HEP Motorsports Suzuki truck aboard the RM-Z450. MXGP QUALIFYING The Saturday-afternoon qualifying races at MXGP have long been a point of contention, as some riders think it’s unnecessary when they have less than a full gate for Sunday’s actual races. So starting this season, championship points will be awarded, from first down to tenth, effectively adding a third points-paying moto (though not as many points as the actual motos).
PRESEASON INJURIES An unfortunate part of racing that happens every year, this time they include Brandon Hartranft (back), Justin Rodbell (Achilles), Garrett Marchbanks (wrist), and Carson Mumford (also wrist). Hopefully, they all make a full and complete recovery and get back out on the track soon.
