PIT BIKES There’s suddenly a small revival in pit bike racing, thanks to the unlikely duo of Travis Pastrana and Rob Buydos. The Pastranaland Pit Bike Championships aired on ESPN2, while Buydos’ Monster Energy Master of the Pit event streamed live on fite.tv, meaning we saw more pit bike racing on our screens in December than SX/MX combined!
GASGAS Last month the new brand under the KTM umbrella grabbed its first Racer X magazine cover via Justin Barcia, and then at the Mini O’s their top amateur prospect Casey Cochran earned GasGas its first two major amateur championships by winning the Mini Sr. 1 and 2 overall titles.
