When Haiden Deegan flashed across the finish line on the floor of Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, he had every right to celebrate. He had not only just won his sixth 250SX race in a row, but he also dominated the first East/West Showdown of the season. It was arguably his best race yet, as he had to overcome a poor start and then pass all of his presumed rivals: Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing teammates Cole Davies and Max Anstie, Honda HRC Progressive’s Jo Shimoda, and Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen and Seth Hammaker.
