One of the most overlooked AMA Supercross races of all time took place on a March afternoon in 1984 in Talladega, Alabama. It was also one of the most interesting, with a whole slew of side stories and circumstances that turned what was supposed to be the “next Daytona” into a race that barely counts in the record books.
