Reason For Being
When Jared Lesher crossed the finish line in fourth place in the 450SX last chance qualifier at Atlanta Motor Speedway on April 15, 2023, he rode into the history books of Monster Energy Supercross. The result assured him a place in the 450SX main event, something he had been trying to do for some time now. And that meant that Lesher’s #412 Yamaha YZ250, sponsored by FMF, SLJ Services, Budget Blinds, Fly Racing, Blud Lubricants and more, was the new last man to qualify on a two-stroke motorcycle in 450SX, at least for now. It’s a temporary honor that will be there until the next time an underpowered, overly popular racer makes the very difficult 22-bike cut in the premier class.
So, who exactly did Lesher
replace as the new last
250 smoker in AMA Supercross?
