TURNOUTS Rider turnout for MX and off-road races all over the country is booming as the country breaks out of its coronavirus lockdown and new and used motorcycles are flying out of dealerships and online markets. Now the challenge is how to get these riders—many of them brand-new to the sport—to stick with it.
HONDA HILLS The once-grand central Ohio motorcycle racing venue for MX and flat track, which hosted Trans-AMA races in the seventies, announced that it will reopen in 2022 under new ownership after 17 idle years. Once owned by AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Dick Klamfoth, the facility is located between Columbus and Zanesville, right alongside Interstate 70 and first opened in 1969.
