Glendale II, III, IV, V, VI, VII…?
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Monster Energy AMA Supercross has apparently reached that point regarding its hopes of completing the 2020 series and settling the championships appropriately. Ever since the series went on hiatus due to concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, just before the 11th round in Indianapolis, series organizer Feld Entertainment has been searching for a way to bring the championship to a proper conclusion. The latest and most radical plan came to light just as we were going to press: hold the last seven rounds in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, over the course of three weeks, beginning in mid-May. Glendale, of course, already held a round of the series in January. The whole concept was only in the planning stages as we were shipping this magazine, so check out racerxonline.com to see if Glendale just became the new center of the supercross world.
