HBI Racing-backed privateer Ty Masterpool gets a big jump on the big boys of the factory teams at the SuperMotocross World Championship Finals at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The Kawasaki rider was a thorn in the side of the salaried men of the 450 Class all summer long, and he continued that right into the SMX Final. When all was said and done Masterpool ended up tenth overall in the final SMX rankings, which came with an eye-popping $50,000 bonus from the SuperMotocross points fund.
