RACERHEAD
Plated: SCOTT BURNWORTH
Scott Burnworth was one of the most stylish and creative riders ever. A factory rider for Suzuki and Yamaha in the 1980s, Burnworth hailed from the El Cajon Zone down by San Diego and grew up racing with the likes of Rick Johnson, Ron Lechien, Broc Glover, and more. After he retired from professional racing, he enjoyed a second career as a self-taught graphic designer and brand manager. He was also a vintage moto aficionado, organizing events as well as competing. When "Burner" passed unexpectedly due to a heart attack in 2024, he left behind a legacy of kindness and great vibes. His close friend and fellow retro moto man Keith Lynas held on to some of Scott's personalized California license plates and recently shared them with us as a way to continue remembering the man who most epitomized ’80s SoCal motocross.
