You’re correct to assume the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge, for eight year old racers, held during halftime at Monster Energy Supercross, provides an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience for both racer and racer parent. My son, Lane, got into the race in Denver. I’ve held a season credential hard card at supercross for twenty years, but even I was blown away. As I was pushing Lane down the tunnel for practice, Eli Tomac and Chase Sexton had just finished their session, and they waved to the kids as they rode up the tunnel. Eli actually raced this event himself back in the day, so he understands. But can you imagine a kid and parent getting that kind of reminder that, for one day, they’re doing the exact same thing as Eli Tomac? I was struck by that, and quite a bit.
