The news was of the bombshell variety: after four and a half years, three 450 Class Pro Motocross Championships, and one AMA Supercross title, Eli Tomac and Monster Energy Kawasaki are splitting ways. We learned of it from our colleague Steve Matthes of PulpMX just three days after Tomac surrendered his #1 plate to Cooper Webb in Salt Lake City, and three weeks before Eli and Kawi would begin their last outdoor campaign together. Now is the summer of their discontent . . . right?
