Reason For Being

When the whole world more or less shut down for fear of spreading the coronavirus, many of us found ourselves with more time than usual on our hands. After all, many offices shut, most schools and businesses closed, and pretty much every sporting event was canceled or postponed. Working from home became the thing—at least for those who still had jobs, as many ended up laid off or furloughed. As I mentioned last month, the magazine business continued, and we’ve now managed to put two issues of Racer X Illustrated out with everyone working from home. We also kept our website humming, which was a good thing, because Racer X Online has become an even more popular destination than usual.
