When Team Honda’s Jett Lawrence won the 2024 season opener in Monster Energy Supercross, he found himself with a very exclusive spot in the AMA record books. The 20-year-old Lawrence is now the only rider to have ever won both his first 450 Pro Motocross race as well as his first 450SX race. Unfortunately, the rest of January and the California part of the series would not go so well for Jett as he struggled in the mud, tangled with Jason Anderson, was booed heavily at the second Anaheim, and missed the podium at each of the next three rounds.
